Athletic Team Pictures
With the growth and renovations of our school, this has brought about several changes throughout our building. Many of you may have noticed we are starting to remove the athletic team photographs that have been displayed in our athletic halls for decades. One reason for doing this is to paint our walls. The second reason is to preserve the history of our athletics that is displayed within these pictures.
Many of these pictures are starting to show signs of fading and deterioration. We will be taking all of these team photos and having them digitized (where the colors can be revived) so that we will not lose our Tiger history. Eventually, these digitized pictures will be displayed electronically at the school. Everyone will have access to these photos and several other items (all year books, athletic records, schedules, etc.) through a website. So even when you’re not at the school you’ll be able to view our history.
We realize change can be tough and it’s not always as it may seem. I made this decision to remove these photos before they’re lost forever, so that generations to come can share in what so many of you have helped to achieve. If you have questions about this project or anything else please feel free to contact me at the school. We appreciate your continued support of our students, staff, and the programs offered at AMJSHS.
